AF Fitness Tip - In my opinion compound movements are the best bang for your buck exercises out there. A compound movement works multiple muscle groups at once, stimulates your central nervous system, helps builds overall strength and burns tons of calories.
When you're trying to lose weight, or build muscle, compound movements will give you better results in a shorter peroid than steady state cardio and isolation movements will.
Use compound movements for the majority of your workload, and use isolation movements as a warm up, superset, or finisher.
